I am inking my little heart out. See, so it's a good thing I already had this page done or I would have had to make you wait for it. Have a lot of momentum right now.... I went to a NIN concert and was completely blown away. You see, that is what I listen to when I make this stuff. Only cheat on Trent a little with the lost highway sounds track and Johnny hollow. On that note, I'm going to head back to it! You'll get to see this thing I am inking soon enough, in all it's festering glory...

Shawnti's blog: Back from a Con

Connecticon was quite the event this year. Always lots to see and do. A small amount of trials and tribulations with the eventual chorus that signifies a resounding success. But then the journey home... and I realize how very sick I was the whole time I was there. I can't believe I stayed standing! On that note a brief apology to anyone I met or re-met while there. I swear, though I don't mean to, I have already forgotten your name, but I remember what you look like and will know you when we meet again. The book is out...and it's damned beautiful, not just patting myself on the back about it, it came out really well. Soon there will be a handy little link so that you can get your very own copy by ordering it online...and if you know me, you will, because you know how very badly I need to eat! So, on to ink the next one. done with pencils. Now the big push. I need a promoter! Anyone know someone who will work for pervy sketches? Yeah... and I still need to sleep. Thanks for visiting me at the Con if you did, and if you couldn't make it, I'll see you soon...

So this is the beginning of the origin. I'll warn you, I may be a little irregular with this, but I will post it in its entirety. I hope that you enjoy it. I'll give you updates as to where I am in the current book when I post so you know how the rest of Am I Immortal is coming along.

For starters... Book one of the Mindbreaker: Church, will be available for purchase at Connecticon, which will be happening the first weekend in August in Hartford. This is very special for me because it is my first publication that will be released through Free Lunch Comics, and we are really looking forward to doing the event as a team. The Sky Pirates will also have another book newly minted at the show and the rest of the Free Lunch Box will be available for your viewing pleasure.

And, as promised, the ever present and nagging updates.... Well, I'm onto book two. That is the second installment of the Mindbreaker which is called Elder. This book picks up right where the first one leaves off, so little time to catch your breath. I expect to be thoroughly scolded for the cliff hanger ending on both! Sorry about that. I am penciling away and hope to present well over half to my colleagues at the meeting this upcoming weekend. You'll be able to tell how well it goes no matter how far away you are... especially if you remember my explosive personality.
